Mackenzie, also know as Mac, is a twelve year old American Labrador Retriever. She was born at a kennel known for their duck hunting dogs. The first two years of her life were spent learning to be a hunting dog. Like many hunting dogs, she lived mostly outside or traveling in a crate on the back of her owner’s truck.
Since becoming Row’s dog, Mac has mastered the art of retrieving anything (except for ducks,) and now travels with Row between France and the United States.
Row Henson has been involved in Human Resources and Human Resource Management Systems for the past 40 years.
After leading HCM strategy and product management teams for two of the world’s largest software companies, in 1992 she accepted a position at a startup company outside of San Francisco. That startup went on to become the most widely used provider of HCM software in the world, PeopleSoft. Row was instrumental in driving the direction for many years for this award winning HCM product and for much of the innovation and globalization of that product.
Ms. Henson was voted one of the “Top Ten Women in Technology” by Computer Currents. She is also the recipient of IHRIM’s (International Association for Human Resource Information Management) coveted Summit Award for lifetime achievement in her field. In 2002 Ms. Henson was named the first Visionary of HR Technology at the Annual HR Technology Conference. In 2013, Ms. Henson was given the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Oracle Human Resources User Group.
Ms. Henson holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management and Insurance, from the University of Georgia.
She retired from PeopleSoft/Oracle Corporation in April, 2013, and now enjoys spending time in the south of France and the south of the United States with her best friend Mac.
